Bagalamukhi: The Power to Still and Silence

This sculpture depicts Goddess Bagalamukhi, one of the ten Mahavidyas in the Tantric tradition, in her characteristic pose of subjugation. She is shown gripping the tongue of a demon while wielding a gada (club) in the other hand, symbolizing her power to immobilize speech, thought, and action.

Seated under a decorative arch with divine composure, Bagalamukhi is invoked to silence negativity and halt enemies. The iconography—restraining the demon mid-action—captures her essence as the goddess who freezes chaos, a potent symbol of inner mastery and control.
