This sculpt portrays Narasimha-Ganesha assuming the ferocious role of Vishnu’s man-lion. The terrifyingly cute deity plants a foot on Hiranyakashipu, the vanquished tyrant, while gripping the demon’s heart; coils of entrails loop across the base like a gory yajna-thread. A mace rests beside him, the broken tusk and curved trunk anchoring the Ganesh identity amid Narasimha's wrath.
