This recreation 15th-century sculpture of Goddess Durga, originating from Kulathupuzha, Kerala, portrays her standing powerfully atop a simha (lion), symbolizing her role as the fierce protector and annihilator of evil. Durga is depicted with four arms, fully adorned with intricate ornaments. Her left foot rests on the lion's head, while her right foot is placed on its back, emphasizing her dominance over primal forces. In the original museum piece (Acc No: W4, measuring 111 x 47 cm), the two upper arms were missing due to damage over time. In this 3D model, they have been skillfully recreated, restoring Durga’s complete form and reinforcing her iconic stance. The original sculpture is on display at the Napier Museum. https://www.napiermuseum.org/artifacts/wood-carvings/wood-carvings-durga/111
