Ganesh with Laddoo
Ganesh with Laddoo
Worshiped before starting anything new, Lord Ganesh is believed to clear obstacles and assure a happy beginning. The sculpt comprises a large elephant head which symbolizes wisdom and understanding.
The wide mouth represents the natural human desire to enjoy the good things in life and in Ganesh’s case, his favorite dessert modaks. The large elephant ears signify that a perfect person is the one who possesses a great capacity to listen to others and assimilate ideas. The trunk is so strong that it could hold anything and everything in the world signifying high adaptability and efficiency. The two tusks are representative of human emotions and wisdom. While one of his hands contains a modak, the other one is turned toward the world in a blessing pose known as ‘Abhaya mudra’.
