This dynamic 3D model is a faithful recreation of a celebrated sculpture from the Nellayappar Temple in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu—a temple with origins dating back to 946 CE under the Pandya king Veerapandiyan. Expanded by the Cholas, Hoysalas, and Vijayanagara Nayaks, the temple’s rich history is etched into its ornate halls.

The original sculpture vividly captures Karna during the Nagastra Prayoga, holding the serpent Ashwasena in his right hand, ready to unleash him upon Arjuna. Karna is adorned in detailed armlets, chest ornaments, and a towering headdress, standing in a poised warrior’s stance with his bow in hand. The powerful anatomy, coiling serpent, and layered jewelry reflect late Nayaka-era aesthetics and storytelling precision. This model preserves those intricate details, translating the epic moment into a form ready for digital preservation and 3D printing.

Please Note: This is a digital 3D model (STL/3mf file) for 3D printingnot a physical object.
