This model shows Lord Narasimha, in chibi form, emerging from a broken pillar and disemboweling the demon king Hiranyakashipu. Narasimha has a lion face, a crown, and clawed hands, while the demon lies across his lap with his chest torn open. Two broken pillars frame the scene, with Hiranyakashipu’s crown fallen beside him.
In the Bhagavata Purana, Hiranyakashipu gains a boon that makes him nearly invincible. To protect his devotee Prahlada, Lord Vishnu appears as Narasimha—neither man nor beast—and kills the demon at twilight, on a threshold, using claws rather than weapons, thus honoring the conditions of the boon while restoring cosmic balance.
