This exquisite sculpture of Tripura Sundari, also known as Lalita Tripura Sundari, represents her as a supreme manifestation of AdiParashakti and a pivotal deity among the Maha Vidyas in Hindu theology. Portrayed as the consort of Lord Shiva and an aspect of Mata Parvati Devi, the sculpture captures her seated majestically upon a swan, an emblem of purity and knowledge. This portrayal is particularly unique as Rajarajeshwari, her another form, traditionally does not have a single specific vahana (mount) but is associated with multiple mounts including the swan and lion, as noted in hymns like the “Sri Lalita Trishati.”

The goddess is depicted with eight hands, each holding symbolic items that reflect her attributes and powers—ranging from weapons to tools of blessing, which symbolize her ability to protect and nurture the cosmos. The inclusion of the swan as her mount in this depiction highlights her grace and transcendent beauty.

Framed by a beautifully ornate arch topped with a Keerthi Mukham, an architectural element symbolizing fame and glory, the sculpture is enriched with intricate details such as snake motifs that add a layer of sacred symbolism, often associated with transformation and the cyclic nature of time. The crescent moon adorned in her elaborate headdress symbolizes cosmic rhythms and fertility, further emphasizing her connection to celestial phenomena.

The entire composition is a masterful blend of iconography and mythology, conveying her multifaceted role as a goddess of beauty, fertility, and power. This rare depiction of Tripura Sundari on a swan serves not only as a spiritual icon but also as an artistic celebration of divine femininity and cosmic harmony.
